  1. As an elderly, beloved minister lay dying, he asked his wife to contact two members of his congregation to come, to witness his death. One was a lawyer, the other a politician. Awed that he so honored them, they came. The politicians asked, “Sir? Why did you ask us here? We’re not exactly your favorite people.” the preacher sighed, then smiled and said, “I always wanted to die like our Savior, who was crucified between two thieves.”
