Bacon and pasta

Is anything more brilliant than good carbonara?

  1. Good posts, always! We get bacon ends for $1.49/LB. Not the mushy crap from the store, but hard-smoked slab bacon from the Martin’s company. Much of it is fat, but that’s fried down hard for cracklins, and then can be pressed to get the last of the lard out. That makes a great flavoring for soups or just eaten as-is. BTW, my LDL cholesterol is is i the low-good range, and HDL is in the high-good range. But then, I don’t eat gluten. Hasta, my man, you walk in beauty!
