  1. Isn’t that kind of an Anglican tradition? In Jane Austen’s novels, the church service was always on Sunday afternoon, and since Jane was the daughter of an Anglican clergyman, I’m guessing she knew what she was about. 😉

I used to attend a very conservative Presbyterian church with services that began at 11am, but as it was an hour away, I had to set out over an hour ahead of time, just to be sure of being on time. Still, I liked the later start. Only problem, is that means you’re getting hungry, as lunch time approaches, with your stomach potentially growling during the service. 😉
